Graduation ceremony Poland

19th June is the end of the school year in 2009. We are happy that our holidays have started but we are also glad that we could do so many interesting things during the past school year. Our eTwinning project was definitely one of the best activities we were involved in.

This year ceremony was a bit different than the previous ones. Our School Drama Club prepared a play by Julisz Słowacki titled 'Balladyna". 2009 was announced the Year of Słowacki - one of the most popular Polish poets.

Let's enjoy our holidays! May it be a great time for everyone:-)))

Goodbye our Polish friends

Here is a song in Polish for you. We have found on the Internet that this song is from your region. We have learned it in 20 minutes. We hope you will like it.

Thank you for great cooperation!

School year 2008/2009 was really interesting thanks to our eTwinning project. Thank you for cooperation, interestiong materials, competitions and everything we did together. It was a time of practising English, learning new things about ICT tools but what is very important - it was a time of enjoying our relationship. (B)logging in was a good way to get to know each other and enjoy the project. Thank you very much! Děkujeme! Dziękujemy!

We'll never forget this project - and "gratitude is the memory of a heart"!

Thank you for the prizes

The winners of the "Final quiz" were very happy yesterday - they got the prizes from the Czech partners. They were eTwinning T-shirts. Thank you very much!

All of Poland reads to kids

"All of Poland reads to kids" is a national campaign initiated in 2001 whose aim is to promote reading. There are various ways to get involved in it. Students of Gimnazjum nr 14 join this campaign annually. Our tradition is going to a local kindergarten and a primary school. Our students read stories to children, organize quizzes and everyone enjoys this time.

The organizers of the campaign promote it in the following words: ‘We all want our children to grow up to be wise, good and happy people. There is a way to achieve this – let’s read aloud to our children”. The campaign is advertised in the media with the words: “Read to your child for 20 minutes a day, every day”. Thanks to participating in this campaign we can experience the pleasure of reading!
